Solstice Sunrise

Rise and Shine!

With the June Solstice sunrise, on Friday, June 20, 2025 Gc, the Sun starts along the Second Quarter of its annual ecliptic path, entering the EHc’s Season of Clubs (JUN/Taurus − JUL/Gemini − AUG/Cancer). ✨

On the EartHeaven calendar (EHc),
it’s Friday, 5 June | 3♥,
falling in Week 14 | A♣.

This week, the Sun enters Taurus at the June Solstice; and the cosmologic energy of Venus prevails.☀️

ACCURATE, ANCIENT, ASTRONOMICAL TIME-KEEPING

The accompanying image is of this year’s Solstice sunrise, at America’s Stonehenge, a mysterious and wondrous site located in Salem, New Hampshire. According to their website, it is not known for sure who built its “maze of man-made chambers, walls and ceremonial meeting places.” The formations are dated at over 4,000 years old, and could well be the oldest man-made construction in the United States:

Like Stonehenge in England, America’s Stonehenge was built by ancient people well versed in astronomy and stone construction. It has been determined that the site is an accurate astronomical calendar. It was, and still can be, used to determine specific solar and lunar events of the year.

Long fascinated by the remarkable accuracy of the Ancients’ timekeeping abilities, I have been very fortunate to visit, learn and experience the sacred energies of the stone slabs at Stonehenge in the UK, the Mayan ruins at Xunantunich in Belize, the curious Ki’i Poles of Ke Kahua O Kāeiolouma on Kauai, and several ancient Puebloan sites of the southwestern US (See Sun Dagger at Chaco Marks June Solstice, a previous June Solstice EHc Blog post). Each of these special places showcase the Ancients’ advanced knowledge in charting the movement of the Sun — and I stand in awe of all of them.🙌

ONE MORE THING…

In keeping with the rhythm and harmony of the natural world, the EHc can be thought of as a Compass with eight points (E, SE, S, SW, W, NW, N, NE), depicting the Sun’s journey along its annual ecliptic path. Each of these eight points coincides with annual Solar events (Equinoxes, Solstices and Mid-Seasons). Picturing time as continuous and cyclical, inviting us to pause at each of the eight “compass points” (once, about, every six-and-a-half weeks) is a wonderful way to mark and reflect on the passage of time.🧭

Celebrating these seasonal shifts is non-dogmatic and something that anyone can do, no matter your religion or faith tradition.🥳

Remember, Follow the Sun! 🌞
